Subject: Inability to configure the web2c-6.1 distribution
To the maintainer: August 3, 1994
I am currently having difficulty running configure on version 6.1 of
web2c; below is the message returned by configure:
% ./configure --prefix=/tmp/JR/TeX
Running configure in web2c...
./configure: web2c: bad directory
Using web2c/config.status to configure kpathsea...
awk: can't open web2c/config.status
./configure: kpathsea: bad directory
creating config.status
creating Makefile
My directory structure for this program is same as the one for the
tar file. Further all directories exist and are readable and
writtable. What is going on?
